new stores are setup on Shopify's development platform.

Scope of  Work
We design new-age Shopify stores, complete with everything to start and grow your e-commerce brand.
1. New Store Setup.

We setup your new Shopify 2.0 Development Store on Shopify servers; as a certified development store you will not pay any subscription fees until go live. We add you to your store as a staff member and begin to design & build your store, once complete we transfer ownership to you, which activates your store to live.

1b. Existing Store Upgrades / Makeover.

We request Collaborator (Shopify Partner) access to your store, so to perform a complete assessment and report back with a detailed audit so to execute improvements.

2. Storefront Design. 

We Test & Trial a number of Premium Shopify 2.0 Certified Themes to match your specific needs and design requirements so to demo back to you our recommendation for implementation. Once you're happy with the direction do we set to work to customise and execute your theme design and store content.

  • Please be aware that Shopify Certified Themes incur an additional one-time fee, licensed to your store for approximately 200 USD at your cost.
  • Shopify Licensed Themes have lifetime free updates and improvements to keep your store up-to-date with Shopify's new features and innovations.

3. Site Content.

We Incorporate and appropriate your brand and marketing content throughout your store. Applying your brands messaging & imagery.

4. Visual Design.

We apply & craft a user experience and site Design once we have your content that embodies your unique brand identity - from your copy, color palette, to the fonts, icons, and images that represent your vision, utalising your stores theme capabilities.

  • Reviews entail shared screen sessions for site design demo's and updates, note that this is an iterative process making best use of your themes features.
  • Here we discuss the sections and pages of the store, layout, content, and product showcases.
  • Add Menu’s, Imagery, Headlines, Copy, Sections, forms and more.

5. Brand Content.

We build out all your store pages relevant to your business ie FAQ's, About us, Contact us, Meet the team, Product highlights, How-to's, More Info, etc.
Then we craft these pages to best fit your message and story.

6. Legal Policies.

We help you craft and implement essential legal Policy pages for your store, including Shipping, T's & C's, Delivery, Returns, etc.

7. Menus & Collections.

We construct and Implement intuitive Navigation,.. Menus / Mega Menus / Footer menus, adding a Newsletter footer signup form.
We create and organise product collections to link your menus, and set up collection pages & search Filters.

8. Populate - Update Products.

We Kickstart your store with publishing up to 30 products.  This covers everything to do with your product info/data. Loading products and all their data includes titles, descriptions, Images, categories, tags etc.

  • For catalogs ranging from 30 to 3,000+ items, our dedicated product specialist will tailor a solution to meet your needs ie.  R100 per product.

9. Social / Chat Channels.

We Integrating Tracking Pixels. Showcasing your Instagram feed, and enabling real-time communication with chat bots or messaging apps.

10. Store SEO Optimisation.

We optimize your site content and product data for Google Organic SEO and Search Indexing. There are many aspects to SEO this is your stores site SEO optimisation which covers all page SEO and image tags, Headings H1,H2 tags and more.  Your store will be SEO ready thanks to Shopify's built in native settings and our attention to detail.

11. Shopify Email automations.

We setup your store's automated email sequences to enhance your CRM, including; abandoned carts, abandoned browsers, customer order confirmations, and follow up emails like upsells.

You can setup your own automated emails and Newsletters and more inside shopify email, using templates you create.

12. Domain/s

We connect and authenticate your Domain(s) with your store.  You can buy a domain elsewhere (3rd party host) and connect it or buy one in Shopify domains.
Shopify has advanced domain detection and connections so this is quite easy, also shopify will authenticate your email domain so to make sure your store emails get delivered to your customers.

13. Settings & Integrations.

We activate all store settings and help with understanding 3rd party integrations.
You will need to have your own account(s) with any 3rd parties; payment gateways, couriers, financial services ie. Xero accounting, Bob go, Lulu print on demand. 

  • We can not sign up for 3rd party services on your behalf, or configure any 3rd party Apps and API's, but we will endeavour to help integrate & link these to your store.
  • You are able to easily add shipping rates, add tax rates, add international markets and edit legal policies in shopify settings yourself.

14. Add-on-features (Shopify Apps)

Enhance your site's capabilities by adding advanced features such as Wishlists, Customer Reviews, Wholesale apps, loyalty programs.

  • Be aware some Apps charge extra fees monthly.
  • We help to activate / implement Apps with your store; However we can not customise these external apps, this you handled with those App developers.

15. Google Advertising setup.

We help and advise you in setting up integrations with Google analytics, Google Search Console and Google Merchant Center so to list your products on google shopping and enable Google SERP.  Here you simply follow the steps within the shopify google app after signing in.

Terms & Conditions.

1. PÖPTAG AGENCY requires 50% upfront payment, a further 25% after 30 days, and the remainder on completion, but no later than 60 days from start.

2. If put on hold by Client for over 60 days, Poptag will reschedule the completion at its earliest convenience.
